Snail Mail

Hey there!

On Saturday, I fly to Newark Airport and will begin the three hour drive to Timber Lake Camp for the summer. Because I will be at camp all summer (until September 3rd) I will not have access to (fast) internet on a day to day basis and will be without cell phone service. I know, how do I survive? :) To be honest it is like another world and completely amazing to be at camp and to rely on nothing more than those around you for friendship and entertainment.

Because I will be without these "necessities", PLEASE feel free to send me snail mail! Last summer getting mail was one of the best parts of the day! It is always fun to hear of the "outside world" and keep updated with friends and family. Also, if you are so inclined you can send little packages as well. :) I am not opposed!

Last year I started a collage wall by my bunk with pictures I brought to camp and then I added to it with pictures that friends sent me as well as cards and letters from friends over the summer. Be creative! :)

My address for the summer is:

Reagan Dickey
240 Timber Lake Road
Shandaken, NY 12480

AND be sure to put "Girl's Staff" in the bottom right corner so that it gets to me faster! :)

I will do my best to update as much as possible over summer, but the best way to find out about how I am doing at camp is to write! :)

Live and Love,
Reagan

Packing?

I feel so unprepared for my packing for camp, but I guess I do still have a bit of time before I HAVE TO be packed and ready.

I ordered some new shorts for camp so that way I can do far less laundry and still have plenty of athletic shorts to wear!

I need a new suitcase since I am able to carry and check two for my flight this year! Chicka chicka yeah yeah!

And finding what I need to bring to camp will be a wonderful adventure as well (sarcasm). The reason being that when I moved from Tuscaloosa, post-tornado, half of my stuff is downstairs in the basement, some in a trailer (which is parked in our driveway), and some made its way up to my room. I suppose the search must begin sooner rather than later.

Working out daily is going well, I just hope I keep it up once I get to camp and I have less than an hour off and "free" each day.

I am super excited for camp and to be directing Annie this summer for the Lower Camp (7-11 yrs).

Today was the first day of SCT ACTing UP workshop and camp in Helena, AL. I am the counselor for the Green group which is the teen group. They are a great group of kids and are very eager to learn and battle the Alabama summer heat!

I graduated Cum Laude from The University of Alabama with a B.A. in Theatre and a Minor in Psychology in May 2011. Originally from Hoover, AL, I have known I was destined for greatness since I was four years old. I am not a picky eater and I love a good talk. In December 2011, I moved to Seattle to pursue my acting career! And after getting engaged to the man of my dreams, I moved back to Sweet Home Alabama in September 2014.
