Gobble, Gobble. Turkey Talk.

Turkey. Thanksgiving. Time Travel?

Which one is not like the other? That may look like an easy choice, but to me they all seemed to fall into one this past week. Of course it was Thanksgiving and what do you eat on Thanksgiving? TURKEY and lots of it! It was a great holiday, albeit there was a lot of cleaning beforehand in order to host my entire family at my parents home. And this may have very well been one of my last Thanksgivings in Alabama for a while, but who knows.

As for time travel and how that fits in, I was just pondering the idea and the ideal circumstance of getting myself from Alabama to Seattle via time travel. I mean, it would be the Muggle equivalent to Apparating right? Where is JK Rowling when you need her? Anywhoo...

I have found and I am applying to my apartment in Seattle and will hopefully be approved once all the paperwork is sent in. I have made a deposit to hold the apartment and would love some crossed fingers, thoughts, and prayers that this will work out as hoped and planned.

As Christmas draws nearer, so does my move date and a bunch of change. But I think I am ready, I can't believe it is finally upon me to pack up all my stuff and drive cross country, but I am ready to start this new chapter.

There really is so much to be thankful for. Just look around and you can find at least one thing in your immediate surroundings that you can say "Thank you" for.

Live and love.

All is Not Lost.

So there are always more than one way to look at certain situations. You can take the negative and think negatively, or you can choose to see things in a positive light. I try and stick to the latter.

News point #1 -- My aunt ended up not taking the Renton job. Which for me means that I no longer have a slight safety net in Seattle, nor a better than average apartment when I get there. Things could be worse. All this means for me is that I have to get back into the apartment search and find something that I can stand to live in for a while.

News point #2 -- I have been emailed regarding two film jobs here in Bham (unpaid, but much needed experience), a voice-over call back (paid), and a dance piece! I am very excited about the dance piece. It is this weekend and I will be learning a jazz and modern piece and then filmed for a local studios website. :)

News point #3 -- Life is good to those who choose to see the good in it. I am happy, very happy. I have people around me that care about me and like to see me happy and I have a dream, a dream that will take me places. I may fail, but that is just part of the journey ahead.

Live and love,

Reagan

Remember, Remember...November?

Birthday week and weekend turned out to be a success. My Lady Gaga inspired outfit fit perfectly into Steven's Justin Bieber and we were a adorable "Mash-up!" :)

Now it is November 1st and the reality of leaving and moving to Seattle in upon me, we, and us. Exciting update -- My aunt called me yesterday to inform me that she was offered a traveling nursing job in Renton, WA which happens to be a short 20 minutes outside of Seattle! SCORE! So, if she decides to take the job, I will have a for sure (ADULT) room-mate in a much nicer apartment than I could have ever hoped for when starting out in a new (and more expensive) city. I have not, however, heard back from her on her big decision. Cross your fingers for good news!

But as the nest is being emptied here at home with Madison being away at college and my planned move to Seattle, the empty house in Hoover seems a bit too large for the now family of three living in it and thus the house is going up for sale. It was a good house, with lots of memories, but I am sure that just as this house was at one time unfamiliar, the new house will become home just as quickly.

I am very disappointed in the lack of trick or treaters I had last night! We were stocked up with TWO HUGE bowls of candy and our excitement was in the air, and yet only SIX kids came to the door. And we were ding-dong-ditched. Guess they didn't want any candy.

I suppose now it is all about Decorations, football, good food, and of course Christmas music for the next few weeks and then my long awaited ROAD TRIP! :)

Live and Love,
Reagan

I graduated Cum Laude from The University of Alabama with a B.A. in Theatre and a Minor in Psychology in May 2011. Originally from Hoover, AL, I have known I was destined for greatness since I was four years old. I am not a picky eater and I love a good talk. In December 2011, I moved to Seattle to pursue my acting career! And after getting engaged to the man of my dreams, I moved back to Sweet Home Alabama in September 2014.
