I cannot tell you enough how much fun hooping is and to think that I am getting a workout as well! :) Everyone should get a Phat Hoop and get started!

So, I have a new obsession. I bought a hoola hoop while I was a the Clark County Fair. And I must say this is no ordinary hoop, it is called a Phat Hoop and it is used for fitness. (And FUN of course!) My new goal is to use it everyday when at fairs and for it to help me with my core and all the while take funny pictures while hooping. This picture above is me in my PW Clown costume for the Circus show in Ft. Benton, MT last week! I also taught Annie how to hoop as well and she loves it already! Now, when hooping you can do all sorts of things. You are toning your body and core while getting a good cardio workout as well! I like to see what I can get away with while hooping. I have started to master the hopping and standing on one foot. Don't forget the spinning and the infamous "kneeling" pose all while the hoop is going round and round! Now the photo above is from Clark County Fair before one of the Phat Hoop Hoola Hoop Competitions (I won one 3rd Place, three 2nd Places, and two 1st Places!) and I am indeed eating an ice cream cone while hooping! I cannot tell you enough how much fun hooping is and to think that I am getting a workout as well! :) Everyone should get a Phat Hoop and get started! Live and Love, Reagan

Annie and I have been on the road for most of the season together, and at first we did not get along, at all. But now we have found that we are almost like sisters. To document this change in our relationship, we have been hankering to make a video to the song "What Is This Feeling" from Wicked and tonight we finally did! It is a masterpiece of cinema and I have ideas of sending it off to Sundance Film Festival next year. As you will see, I am only joking! But it was a lot of fun to make and we keep watching it and keep laughing. I hope it will bring a smile to your face as well! And if you were confused in any way about what we do on the road after, before, during shows, it is this. Our job is to have fun and make anyone we meet find it hard not to smile. We are adorable and I am very glad we do not loathe each other any more. :)
Live and love, Reagan So, I am always asked whenever meeting someone new that knows my family, "Are you the softball star?" or "Are you the one that plays ball?" And my response is always, "No, I'm the other one." By "Other One" I am referring to the other Dickey daughter, not to be confused with my rockin' softball playin' baby sister, Madison. She is starting her sophomore season at Samford University in Birmingham, AL and she is awesome as usual. So a while ago, her and her softball friends made a movie to "Your Love is My Drug" and posted it to Youtube. For your enjoyment and amusement, I am posting it here. :) But before you get to witness that amazement, I want you all to watch the video my sister also made for my mom's formalwear store, Divine Design. This store is your one stop shop to all things prom and pageant. She has long dresses, short dresses, shoes, jewelry, children's dresses, and even tuxedo rentals! If you are in need of a dress, visit them online at www.divinedesignformalwear.com or call them at 205-655-7977. They made a video, "Call Me Maybe" and I think it is great PR for the shop as well as a cute video of the girls and employees of Divine Design. Please check out both of the videos posted below and I hope they bring a smile to your face. (They did to me!) Live and Love, Reagan Well here I am in Fort Benton, MT about to open the Choteau County Fair. Now, this town has (from what we have seen) ONE stop sign, a blinking light, and a bar. Itty Bitty if you ask me! Should make for some great memories, and Montana really is beautiful. I would not see myself living here, but it is a nice place to visit! I am so happy to be back on the road with Annie and reunite our dashboard buddies, Louie and Skynard. I cannot believe that it is already the middle of August and we only have two months left in this gypsy life! Time really does fly when you are working hard, having fun, and dealing with uncooperative equiptment....*cough,cough* TENTS. Nothing really more to talk about, life is good, the road is open and we are doing great shows! The last leg of the season will be a hectic one. From here, Annie and I head back to Seattle for a couple days before opening at Oregon State Fair. After that it is a whirlwind of events and fairs all at once. And we both go out with a bang in Waco, TX for the Heart of Texas Fair! Ta-Ta for now! Live and Love, Reagan This was me. This IS me. Present, past, and future. I will always get such a thrill from going to Disney parks and seeing the princesses that I grew up knowing through movies and TV. Today, I realized I am very similar to these Disney Princesses. I influence little boys and girls across the U.S. when I do my shows with Let's Pretend. I am a role model, friend, and "movie star" to them, and it truly shows when they see me and their eyes light up. For example, yesterday we had three shows of The Wild West Show at the opening day of the Clark County Fair. Now, I must preface this story with the comment that MANY children do not enjoy dressing up, getting on stage, and being the center of attention, but they DO want to feel acknowledged and part of the "play." After the second show of the day, when we were starting to hang costumes and put props away, I noticed a little girl and her mother lingering by the "star performer seating." This little girl had not been one of the performers in the show. I walked over to her and asked if she had fun watching the show; what her name was; how old she was; and what else she had done at the fair. I then ended the conversation kneeling next to her with a high five and a smile. She then turned to grab her mother's hand and when I stood to say "Have a nice day" to the mother, her mom mouthed, "Thank you." I had made that child's afternoon, just by taking the time to talk to her and include her in my little Wild West world. It is all about the little things and the small decent things you can do for another person that make such a huge difference. Many of these families I interact with are going to have these memories for their entire lives and look back upon this day, this show, and what I brought to their family experience. That is a big responsibility and I am grateful to have such an impact, theatrically, in these children and families' lives. Another awareness moment (also from yesterday!) came when I took a half-second in a show to look and scan the audience and realized, I had captivated the seated audience in front of me, the patrons in the shade of a tree further back, the families picnicking in the grass to the left, and even fair-goers stopped on the walkway 300+ feet back. I was playing to over 200 people, and they were ATTENTIVE. They were participating, they were pretending with me. I am everyday amazed at the power of the theatre and how blessed I am to be doing what I do and to be able to pay my bills by doing something I love. This is my passion and I will never give it up. I have many goals within this life long journey which includes: film, television, theatre, drama, comedy, stand-up, SNL, magic, clowning, and so much more. There is so much to learn, and so much to give. Live and love. And more so, live what you love. Reagan |
