So last night was the Timber Lake production of Annie here at camp and I couldn't be more proud of the kids in the cast and the performance and work ethic they had throughout the entire process. It was definitely the hardest thing I have ever undertaken and those people that do children's theatre WITH children have my ultimate KUDOS! That is no easy job!

The kids had a blast and I was like a proud parent when all was said and done. The stress and worry was all worth it in the end because they put on an amazing show!

After the show and today I was showered with compliments regarding the show and even a few comments about Annie being one of the most organized and well done productions here at camp in years! I was stunned and remain humble about the whole process. It was a great experience.

Like all theatre experiences, there isn't much down time between one show going up and ending and the next one being. Next on my list is choreography for Timber Lake's production of The Wiz. After that show is over we are doing the annual Lower Camp Talent Show during Trip Week, but with a little GLEE twist. We will choreograph and rehearse an opening and closing number GLEE style to have for the performance! :)

Life here in Shandaken can be hectic sometimes and life itself is unpredictable, but with a positive outlook and good friends, happiness is never far away.

Yesterday, my sister sent me an email letting me know that my grandmother, Nana, had passed away the day before.

Within one week so much has changed in my life.

Friends are there for  a reason and will ALWAYS help you in times of need. Never forget to appreciate those around you and lean on them for support when you need it. Karma can be a wonderful thing if what you do with your life is positive in the lives of others.

Life is beautiful even when things look bleak.

Stay positive and don't forget to live life to the fullest while you can.

Live and Love,

The only thing to remain constant is change.

Life can change in an instant. Without change, individuals would never understand themselves, the world around them, or grow as citizens of the world.

As a friend told me tonight, "you cannot appreciate a good day without a few bad ones." Another thing that popped into my mind today was something Dr. Bob Ditter told us during our orientation, "There is only a limited amount of happiness in the world, and it shifts from person to person."

Today was my shift. For the past week I have been consumed with an extremely homesick and sad 9 year old girl in my bunk. I felt terribly for her, but as in many cases, there was really nothing I could say or do to make her feel better. Her sadness and homesickness had to run its own course. Today, on my day off from camp, the sadness shifted. She was cheered up and something had upset me.

I am not one to dwell on negative things, and I am not trying to sound corny, but this situation is not negative. Albeit, it is not the most ideal, I know that God has a plan for me and that whatever happens will happen for a reason and will take me down the path God has for me.

I am truly blessed to be where I am now and working with such amazing co-couselors who are supportive and kind and above all to be working with such amazing and adorable kids. Life can only be lived one day at a time.

Live and Love,
Reagan
