A few weeks ago I submitted APO for some organizational awards at The University of Alabama through SOURCE and last night was the awards banquet. While filling out the packet there was an award for an outstanding member or officer in the organization. We asked for nominations and it was determined that I would be the person to recommend for the award. Barrett, my VP, wrote a recommendation for me and last night at the awards banquet I WON! It was a great honor and really meant a lot. Not only that APO nominated me to represent the organization, but that the SOURCE recognized me as an outstanding officer or member out of ALL the organizations on campus!
I am still dazed that I won such a great award. :) When I told my mom she said, "I am sure it is just one of many. Like walking down the red carpet toward your Oscar." Thanks Mom, you're the best. :)
